About me
I serve as a program specialist specifically supporting Independent Study programs for the El Dorado County Charter SELPA. I have a passion for high school transition as well as supporting students on the Autism spectrum. My background includes extensive experience with the independent study model, including working at a virtual independent study charter school as a special ed teacher K-12, a SPED team trainer, an interim assistant director, and finally as the Coordinator of Student Services. Prior to that, I taught special ed K-12 at a Sacramento area IS charter, as well as in a district high school special day class, and my earliest experience in the field was as an instructional assistant. I live in Sacramento with my family and pets.
