About me
Kate Perry is a social studies and English teacher, ADA and WASC coordinator and grant manager at Independence High School in Brentwood, CA. In 2016 she received the Contra Costa County Teacher of the Year award. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has a Master's degree in Education. She has worked in both private and public education as well as in the non-profit sector. Kate's professional interests include mindfulness, social emotional learning and grant writing. This will be her 17th year teaching.
